Thinking about my weight loss journey always springs a myriad of emotions. I weighed 125 lbs before my weight loss journey. I was constantly called fat by friends and family. I didn't like going to parents/teachers meetings at my son's school because I hated seeing skinny moms. I finally made the decision to lose the weight when my son got into trouble in school for punching a kid because he called me fat. I was mortified when I heard that. I felt he shouldn't leave his life defending me, so I began to research weight loss and I even considered surgery. It was during my research that I came across CICLE. I scheduled an appointment with the dietician, and our first meeting together was great. We drew up a plan, and I was put on a meal plan. I won't lie to you and say it was easy. There were times when all I wanted to do was order a box of pizza and eat it whole because I was tired. It was emotionally daunting.
Eight weeks into the plan, I dropped to 40 lbs. I was ecstatic. I did it. The nights I spent crying over a doughnut or the days I spent in the gym sweating the fat out finally paid off. Now that I had gotten to 40 lbs, I wanted to lose a little bit more. I spoke to my dietician and we continued with the meal plan. Two weeks after that, I dropped to 26 lbs. At this point, I felt I had reached my body goals and went back to my old eating habits. I even stopped working out. Soon enough, I started regaining all the weight I had lost. I scheduled another appointment and we created a plan that not only helps lose the weight but also regulates it.
Now that I weigh less, I feel more confident than I did when I was fat. I can put on any dress without worrying if my fat folds are obvious. I now feel more at home in my body. My weight loss is heavily influenced by CICLE health.
